I’m so thrilled to share tons and tons of pictures from Kim and Ian’s garden wedding. They are two of the sweetest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet, and they are dear, dear friends of ours. They are ALSO our neighbors! But we were all friends well before that. We just happened to buy nearly identical homes, just a block from one another, and move to a brand new neighborhood – that none of us knew anything about – last fall. It’s like something you’d only dream up as a 12 yr old playing M-A-S-H or something. We are living our adolescent dreams!Being so close made it super convenient for Kim and her family to get ready at our place, which I secretly LOVED, because for the first time ever, I got to dress the bride myself.
She wore a gold-striped, silk chiffon gown with inserts of English netting throughout the skirt and hand-gathered lace around the neckline – formed to look like baby’s breath. I was so honored to make this gown for Kim. She’s helped me so much over the years, not only as a supportive friend, but as an enthusiastic volunteer, driving to-and-from NY with me each year to stand for hours upon hours at the bridal market. Always laughing the entire time. She’s amazing. I wish I could make her fifty gowns!
